Hey there! My name is
Claire Dossey (she/her),

I’m originally from Texas, now based in NYC. I’m recently graduated with my BFA in Communication Design at Parsons School of Art and Design.

In my work, I like to experiment with color and form through playful and witty concepts that connect to social activism, specifically feminism. I am also driven to explore how fun and unpredictable design can be expressed in a commercial context, going beyond personal gratification.

05 Occult Book Series

The Occult book series explores the othering of femininity and queerness, highlighting how alienation acts as a form of torture. Inspired by religious pamphlets, I designed the book’s size and aesthetic, using color to uniquely express each subject.

06 Going Bananas

Using Premiere Pro, I created these two projects to explore how media can assign internalized meanings to inanimate objects, resulting in vastly different interpretations.

07 Mambo No.8 Typeface

I chose to create a type revitalization of Gothic No.8, naming my version Mambo No.5, because I was drawn to the bold, utilitarian character of the original and saw potential to reimagine it for a more playful, contemporary context.

08 Cult Babe

Cult Babe is a publication service concept I designed using Figma to showcase my Occult book series.
